14 weeks of IA....10 more weeks to go! i thought i could slack another month or so after my IA but today i received an email regarding my fyp being pushed forward to 2nd of July...sigh...that means right after my IA, i will be starting on my fyp...=( =(
Next week will be my exams...luckily only 1 paper.
The CEO from my company (with 8000 employees under him) came to pay a visit to SRC. He was super friendly..the moment he stepped into our cabin...he started waving at us...he even shook hand with me & chat with me despite knowing i'm just an IA student. That was quite unexpected because even my own area manager & account manager don't seem to acknowledge our existence. Shame on them.
An event that happened yesterday....
me: (holding an escape mask) erh....is that the expiry date? ( 06 2006)
Senior engineer:Oh yes..i think so...how many expired?
me: two expired...and four still could be used
(fyi we have 7 pple in our cabin)
Site supervisor (my supervisor): huh? escape mask got expiry date one meh?
me: .......
(all the staff use those mask everyday and none of them knew that some of them have already expired! acutally a few weeks ago, i've already alerted one staff that the masks have expired. But no action taken...maybe they are all sucidial.)
Area manager: oh..expired? order 7 more!
(she very ks...well she's new)
In the end we only ordered 4.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One thing good about this new manager is that she loves to approve our "request list"
for example:
3 more bikes? ok..approved...go ahead...
(actually...we just bought 5 bikes last october, one got stolen, the rest are dying)
i hope they get those that comes with suspension! *prays hard*

Some random stuff:
1)This week's weather was great...thank god/buddha/whoever up there for granting me wish for rain...=)
2)had headaches for 3 consecutive days.....but it subsided today...phew...
3)the 3rd pay check is late again...and i'm not surprised....=\
4)And i found out that i'm more of a brain person than i hands- on person....
Because....
Maintaining the phosphate level of the boilers...not a problem for me... similar to analyzing data.
but....
Clearing airlock in pump...i'm a total failure...i just can't seem to use the spanner to turn the knob...it's too manual for me...bleh
5) the lift broke down again...barely 1 month...its back to climbing again...a total of 272 steps...

I guess this is a beautiful mistake too...# ;
